Southern Corsica is not crossed, it is inhabited sector by sector: Porto-Vecchio and its beaches, the hills of Sainte-Lucie, the cliffs of Bonifacio, the vines of Figari. A week at the island's pace — never rushing.

Days 1 to 3 — Porto-Vecchio and its beaches
Three nights to find the rhythm: the Casadelmar on its white-sand cove, or Les Bergeries de Palombaggia above the maquis, facing the beach. At Santa Giulia, the Moby Dick sits at the water's edge and L'Oasis pairs beach bar and spa. You don't rush — you return.

Day 4 — The hills of Sainte-Lucie
North of Porto-Vecchio, the hills of Sainte-Lucie smell of maquis. Base camp: Les Regalia, to sleep between sea and mountains. And up in the heights, La Source — a characterful table. This is Corsica before the coast — it has to be earned.

Days 5 and 6 — Bonifacio
An hour's drive due south and the scenery changes century: the white cliffs, the Strait, the wind. U Capu Biancu clinging to the end of the world, Cala di Greco between stone and light, Version Maquis above the deep blue — three ways of inhabiting Bonifacio.

Day 7 — Figari, on the way back
Halfway between Bonifacio and Porto-Vecchio, inland, the Domaine Petra Bianca organically farms vines born of a vein of white quartz in the granite. One last tasting, a few bottles in the boot — and the island lets you go.
