Mas de la Dame

As we passed through the mountain range separating Saint-Rémyde-Provence from the Baux-de-Provence, on the southern slopes of the Alpilles, we were spellbound by the area’s beauty. It may seem hidden away, but once you find it, it’s majestuous - its beauty is utterly staggering. The area has even been referenced several times in history. Dazzled by its singular light, Van Gogh painted it. Simone de Beauvoir wrote about it in her book, La Force d’Âge, and it’s even mentioned in Nostradamus’s prophecies: “One day, the sea will cover the earth and will stop at the stele of Mas de la Dame”. Let’s just hope that won’t happen for a very long time, for this is a beautiful spot, and what it yields is very precious. Caroline Missoffe and Anne Poniatowski, great-grand-daughters of the founder, manage this estate which stretches over 300 hectares, of which 58 are vines and 28 are olive trees. They took over from their parents in 1995, and in the same year, the AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégé, or Protected Designation of Origin) of Les-Baux-de-Provence was born; this was collectively sought after by all the valley’s winemakers. There are high-quality wines to be found at the Mas de la Dame. Their taste is unique. The Coin Caché is amazing, but there are other fantastic wines, too: La Gourmande, La Réserve du Mas, La Stèle, Le Vallon des Amants ... all the wines: reds, whites and rosés, are simply delicious, and proffer a delightful gustatory experience. These names whet your appetite perfectly. They are very much representative of the terroir, of authenticity and heritage, and of a shared moment. The Mas de la Dame also produces several exceptional olive oils, from fruity greens to fruity blacks, and olive-based specialties. All we can do is invite you to discover for yourself this magnificent winery and its natural, authentic products. Domaine de Servanes labergeriedesalpilles.fr The taste of Provence In the domain of Golf de Servanes in Mouriès, La Bergerie des Alpilles is a gourmet stop worth the detour. This restaurant, housed in a renovated former sheepfold, offers an authentic atmosphere with its stone walls and exposed beams. In the kitchen, Provence expresses itself. Local products – AOP olive oil from Les Baux de Provence at Mas de la Dame, seasonal vegetables, and aromatic herbs – are prepared with simplicity to create generous and flavorful dishes. The menu evolves with the seasons but always maintains that Mediterranean touch. The vaulted dining room provides natural freshness on summer days, while the sunny terrace invites you to savor your meal to the sound of cicadas. At La Bergerie des Alpilles, Provençal cuisine can be enjoyed in an exceptional setting, whether you're a golfer or simply a lover of good moments at the table.
