Day 1 — L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
Base camp first: the Grand Hôtel Henri, on the banks of the Sorgue — set down your bags, and the Venice of Provence opens up on foot. The Village des Antiquaires de la Gare for a whole morning of antique hunting, and in the evening the choice between Le Vivier's Michelin star and the Provençal generosity of Renaud'Mets.

Day 2 — Gordes and Gargas
Sleep at Les Bories, above Gordes — dry stone, the view over the Luberon, silence as architecture — and radiate out to the workshops of Gargas: Mathieu Lustrerie, where palace chandeliers are reborn, and the Atelier de la Boiserie, whose creations adorn Cartier and the George V.

Day 3 — Ménerbes and Bonnieux
Settle in at the Domaine du Fortin, facing Ménerbes — four characterful suites and a confidential homemade table. A stone's throw away, the Domaine de la Citadelle and its corkscrew museum for a proper tasting. And if the stay stretches on, Capelongue watches over the valley from Bonnieux.
