Mathieu Lustrerie

The Mathieu Lustrerie workshops restore, reissue, create and collect the most beautiful chandeliers in the world — five centuries of light gathered in a historic site in the heart of the Luberon.

"All that is not shared is lost": whether it is heritage or culture, the guiding will of Mathieu Lustrerie is to share. Set in a former ochre factory that has retained its industrial heritage, the workshops are happy to share with you a culture, a passion and a story — that of the chandelier, an emblematic object which lit the lives of our kings as well as the great moments of our history. In this setting you will discover five centuries of chandeliers through the collections of the Mathieu Museum, as well as the work of the craftsmen who restore these often giant pieces.

The workshops are open to the public during working hours, Monday to Friday noon, and a park welcomes you every day; both are filled with treasures to share. Among the house's proudest achievements: the restored chandelier of Notre-Dame de Paris.
