T
he rich and authentic family history of Club 55 makes
it a unique place, born from the adventure and
passion of a visionary ethnologist who found refuge
on Pampelonne beach in 1947. He decided to return with
his family in the following years, gradually transforming
this place into a haven of peace where conviviality and
nature reign supreme.
Club 55, immortalized by the filming of "And God Created
Woman," has become an emblematic address where simple
and essential values are upheld.
The establishment is proud of its agricultural roots, with
products coming directly from its three farms: Vallon des
Bouis, Château de la Mole, and Domaine de Piégros. These
farms, practicing organic farming, produce wines, olive
oil, vegetables, cereals, and raise sheep and aurochs. The
rest of the products are carefully selected from producers
who share the same philosophy of respect and humanity.
The cuisine of Club 55, a tribute to the Mediterranean and
Provence, offers simple dishes that celebrate the freshness
of the ingredients: fish, baskets of raw vegetables, grilled
sardines, Ramatuelle puff pastry, or Milanese cutlet.
Authentic meals without artifices.
Respectful of nature, the establishment uses renewable
energy, produces part of its electricity, and ensures
responsible water consumption.
Open from March to early November, Club 55 is a refuge
where music is played without amplification, creating
a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels at home. On
the beach, the atmosphere is relaxed and nostalgic, with
wooden huts offering simple dishes like pissaladière, pan
bagnats, and fresh salads.
Here, there are no tourist traps, but genuine generosity
and special attention to all, young and old. Club 55 is not
just a restaurant; it is a family home where people come
to recharge, enjoy delicious food, and share unforgettable
moments in an exceptional setting.
