eep in the heart of Provence, in the historic centre
of Avignon, this remarkable property is on the site
of the 14th century Livery of Cardinal Amédée de
Saluces.
A few centuries and acquisitions later, Amaury de
Villoutreys and Gilles Jauffret purchased the property
to transform it into a bed and breakfast establishment,
restoring its letters of nobility after seven years of
renovation.
This is more than a bed and breakfast - the suites at the
Divine Comédie are an invitation to travel! You journey
back in time, through history and art and also through the
history of Avignon, a lofty saintly place where the popes
have left their indelible mark.
Created by Gilles Jauffret, these 5 suites are the result
of a quest for perfect harmony, comfort, elegance and
refinement. You’ll linger over every detail, a colour, a
pattern, a fabric, a curio.
