From the moment you step through the grand entrance, you are welcomed like a long-time friend, a welcome drink in hand — a Melonade with Perrier on ice, a local melon-based aperitif. Restored over nearly two years in keeping with its historic charm, the house is stunning and full of a thousand details: the collection of mirrors, the dining room wrapped in soft jazz, or Pepette, the adorable house cat. The décor blends old-world charm and modern elegance; depending on the room, a king-size bed, a bathroom with a freestanding tub, Smart TV and air conditioning, while the two suites each have their own private balcony.

In the morning, breakfast is savoured in the shaded inner courtyard — vintage tableware, antiques, a soothing fountain, pastries, local jam, honey, grandma-style eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice.
